The SZA1008 chipset is sensitive to power delivery. Disconnect the gamepad. Go to Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus controllers > Right-click each USB Root Hub > Properties > Power Management > Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device." Reconnect the controller.
