As of early 2025, . Unlike The Little Mermaid , Beauty and the Beast , or The Lion King , Hercules remains one of the Disney Renaissance titles yet to receive a physical 4K treatment.

The animation style of Hercules was a massive departure for Disney. Inspired by the sharp, swirling lines of ancient Greek pottery and the caricatures of Gerald Scarfe, the film features intricate details that would benefit immensely from 4K.
