Traditional games like sepak takraw (a Southeast Asian sport that combines elements of volleyball and soccer) and kasti (a form of tag) are popular among students, who often organize friendly competitions and tournaments. Music and dance are also essential aspects of SMP entertainment, with students frequently performing at school events, such as concerts, festivals, or cultural shows. Indonesian soap operas, movies, and music are also widely enjoyed, providing a source of inspiration and escapism.

This report is based on a survey of 1,000 SMP students in Jatim, aged 13-15 years old. The survey was conducted online and consisted of questions on their video viewing habits, favorite video content, and lifestyle preferences.
