The story follows a protagonist who returns to his ancestral rural village accompanied by his elder sister (the "Ane" in the title). The village, however, is governed by ancient, dark customs ( Inshuu ) that target outsiders and their female companions. The narrative focuses on the systematic "corruption" and eventual "taking" of the sister by the village locals as the protagonist is forced to watch or remains powerless to intervene.
