If you cannot use the HDD Regenerator 2024 bootable ISO due to UEFI restrictions, use (free) booted via a Hiren's BootCD PE (Windows 10 PE environment). It offers similar remapping capabilities but lacks the magnetic reversal magic.

The technology inside the official HDD Regenerator is over a decade old. It lacks native support for modern UEFI systems, NVMe SSDs, and modern Advanced Format 4K sector hard drives. Running a 2011 repair tool on a 2024 hard drive can actually cause more harm than good due to sector size misalignment.

That said, for any machine built before 2018 (or a repair bench with an old Core 2 Duo/Dell Optiplex), nothing beats the simplicity of booting into the blue screen of HDD Regenerator.
